I'm Clancy, and I've been crocheting for almost 2 decades. I go by ze/hir or ze/zir/zem because I'm one of those transgenders you hear about sometimes.
Don't let that scare you away though!
Or do. Those of you who remain will be treated with some cool patterns and insights into the craft as I continue to explore technique, texture, and color.
This website is an extension of the Tumblr blog of the same name. The difference here is that I'm also experimenting in teaching myself to code. Bear with me if anything is wonky as I am more focused on the crocheting of it all.
To make your own gnome friend...

2 sc in each (12 stitches)
[2 sc, 2 sc in next stitch] times 4 (16)
16 sc
16 sc
7 sc, popcorn stitch, 8 sc to end (16)
Reduce to 12 stitches
12 sc.
Leave tail for sewing.

This is going to be annoying, but 4 sc
[sc, 2 sc in next] times 2 (6 stitches)
[sc, 2 in next] times 3 (9 stitches)
[2 sc in stitch, 2 sc] times 3 (12)
[3 sc, 2 in next] times 3 (15)
Beard
Ch 4, turn.
Sc in second ch from hook, sc 2 more, turn (3)
3 sc
3 sc.
Add or subtract rows to get the length beard you think suits your bud.
Sew all that together, and you've got yourself a friend! Friends can be different sizes if you use a heavier weight yarn and/or bigger hooks. Wibble was created with a 2.75mm hook and Lion's Brand cotton Bon Bons.
Wibble's Biography
